Steve Black
Raemelton Farm

Steve Black is founder of Raemelton Farm in Adamstown, Maryland. The nursery provides 2- to 4-inch B&B shade, flowering, and evergreen trees, as well as large shrubs for the Mid-Atlantic and Northeastern landscape industry. Steve has taken bold steps to implement new and innovative production practices at the 188-acre nursery. In early 2016, he introduced to the market USDA certified organic B&B, landscape-ready trees – a first for the industry. Steve originally dedicated 3 acres to organic production, and he’s ready to expand that offering once it transitions from a niche market. (Photo by Larry Canner)
